Looking for the Perfect Brunch Spot? Here’s Why Southbank Café + Lounge is a Must-Visit

Southbank Café + Lounge has been on my radar for dinner and drinks, but I switched it up and went for brunch.

The vibe is super dark and moody, even on a sunny Sunday morning.  It was packed, so no luck getting all the photos I wanted but I totally see why.

Pork Belly Rice Bowl (P550)
Miso glaze, gochujang rice, wakame, pork floss, furikake
NGL, this dish was my bias. The pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the combination of ingredients was a total flavor and texture explosion.

Smashed Burger (P640)
Brioche buns, smashed patties, cheese, Southbank sauce, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, Cajun fries
The burger had a great smoky, juicy flavor, but the fries were bland and could’ve used a little more seasoning.

Chicken Parmigiana (P580)
Marinara, Stracciatella, chips
While the Chicken Parmigiana was basic, the white sauce and lemon gave it a nice lift.

Dark Chocolate Mocha (P250)
This 200 ml cup has 2 shots of espresso and uses top tier chocolate. Though it was a delicious balance of coffee and chocolate, the price tag is a bit steep.

My first dining experience will not be my last as I’ve got my eye on some other dishes next time.
